The candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, Mr. Mamadou Bocar Ba, on Friday evening presided over an election rally organized by his campaign at the Alliance for Justice and Democracy (AJD) coordination office in Nouadhibou.
In his speech, the candidate expressed his satisfaction with what he described as the “great turnout” of the people of Nouadhibou, thanking his supporters for the turnout.
He said that running in the presidential elections is a heavy responsibility that requires strong mobilization, explaining that his choice was the result of a consensus between several political entities.
He pointed out that he offered Mauritanian voters a program that takes into account all the issues that affect the lives of citizens, whether directly or indirectly, while offering appropriate solutions.
He reviewed the broad outlines of his electoral program, which is based on ten priorities, the most important of which are the promotion and officialization of national languages, access to land ownership, sharing power and wealth, consolidating democracy, and strengthening social cohesion.
If he wins, he pledged to bring about radical change, to build a strong and democratic state in which citizens, regardless of their color or social background, enjoy their rights, security and peace of mind.
The candidate, Mamadou Bocar Ba, criticized the current government, noting that it has failed to manage the country like its predecessors, he said.
He called on his supporters to mobilize voters and educate them on the need to vote for him on polling day, in order to achieve their aspirations for change.
For their part, the speakers at the meeting emphasized their candidate’s ability to save the country and elevate it to the ranks of developed countries.
They talked about their candidate’s abilities and qualifications that the country needs at this time, and called on voters to vote for their candidate so that he wins in the first round.
