Candidate El Eid Mohameden M’barek kicks off his Campaign in Nouakchott

The candidate for the 2024 presidential elections, Mr. El Eid Mohameden M’barek, the candidate of the “Union of Rescue Forces”, opened his electoral campaign at the old airport square in Nouakchott on Friday morning, ahead of the May 29th vote to choose the President of the Republic.
The candidate explained that his electoral program includes many fundamental reforms in various fields such as health, protecting farmers in various regions of the country and providing water to all citizens.

With regard to mineral wealth, the candidate explained that his electoral program includes the establishment of companies for industry and minerals, and will work in this context to protect and secure prospectors in each region.

He pointed out that the fishing and maritime economy sector is also of great importance in his program, as it will be changed and the types of industrialization in this field will be modified, pointing out also that the issue of pensioners is also of particular importance to him, as their living conditions will be improved in this context, adding that if he succeeds, he will work to provide food items in various parts of the country at reduced and standardized prices.

The candidate added that the masses present with him are the face of a diverse and tolerant Mauritania which says that the people of Mauritania are equal in all rights and yearn for freedom and change.

The candidate criticized the current conditions of the country, due to what he described as the spread of corruption and the absence of good governance, which contributed, among other things, to the absence of many necessary services.

The 2024 presidential candidate stated that the “Union of Rescue Forces” coalition includes many political forces with a long history of struggle, and seeks to unite the Mauritanian people in all its spectrums, and its only concern is freedom and unity among all the different spectrums and components of society.
