President of Republic Receives Omani Foreign Affairs Minister

On 11 June, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received HE Mr Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.

The meeting focused on cooperation between the two countries and ways to strengthen and develop them to serve the common interests of the two brotherly people.

In a statement shortly after the meeting, the Omani Minister of Foreign Affairs indicated that he had conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Majesty Haitham bin Tariq, the Sultan of Oman, to His Excellency the President of the Republic and the brotherly Mauritanian people for the pursuit of progress, development, and prosperity, adding that the President of the Republic had also instructed him to convey his best regards to His Majesty the Sultan and the people of Oman.  

Mr. Albusaidi noted a great similarity in the positions and orientations of the two countries, stressing that work is underway to initiate a new phase of cooperation and partnership relations at the government and private sector level and to work toward the signing of new agreements in the service of this constructive dynamic between the two brotherly countries.
