Mauritanian Embassy in Italy celebrates AU Day

The Embassy of our country in Italy organized on Saturday a ceremony on the occasion of the commemoration of the anniversary of the African Union Day, which falls on May 25 of every year.
The ceremony was chaired by HE. Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Dahi, Ambassador of our country to Italy and Permanent Representative to the UN bodies based in Rome.
After listening to the national anthem, HE the Ambassador gave a speech in which he reviewed the most important current challenges facing the African continent and ways to develop African integration, allowing the attendees to listen through the screen to the important message sent by His Excellency, the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh EL Ghazouani, on this occasion, where the audience interacted unparalleled with this important speech.
In addition to the Dean of the African Diplomatic Corps, the ceremony was attended by the Director General of Italian Protocol and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), members of the African diplomatic corps accredited in Italy, representatives of the World Food Program (WFP)and the International Fund for Agricultural Development(IFAD), a large number of civil, military and political figures in the Italian Republic and the staff of our Embassy in Italy.
