Nouakchott Region President Participates in AIMF General Assembly

On 24 May, in Lausanne, Switzerland, Ms. Fatimetou Mint Abdelmalek, the president of the Nouakchott region, participated in the 44th session of the general assembly of the International Association of Francophone Mayors (AIMF).

She also participated in the work of the Executive Bureau, which approved the appointment of a new Secretary General of the Association, as well as amendments to the organizational texts and the adoption of the Charter of Mayors, new membership requests, and the 2025 budget.

In addition, Ms. Mint Abdelmalek hosted a high-level seminar in her capacity as President of UCLG-Africa on the integration of international networks specialized in the field of decentralization and decentralization mechanisms, strengthening partnership, and cooperation.
