Gabon’s Transitional President Leaves Nouakchott

On 24 May, His Excellency General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, the Transitional President of the Republic of Gabon, left Nouakchott after a two-day friendly and working visit to Mauritania.

The Gabonese host was greeted upon his departure from the Nouakchott Oumtounsy International Airport by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Massoud, the Minister Counselor at the Presidency of the Republic, the Prime Minister’s director of cabinet, the chiefs

of staff of the armed and security forces, the wali of Nouakchott West, and the vice president of the Nouakchott region.

After listening to the Mauritanian and Gabonese national anthems and reviewing the military detachments that came to present the honors, the Gabonese President was greeted by members of the government and representatives of the African diplomatic corps accredited to Mauritania.
