President of Republic Receives Dutch Ambassador’s Credentials

On 21 May, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the credentials of HE Ms. Carmen Bregta, in her capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

After the credentials presentation ceremony, His Excellency, the President of the Republic, granted the Dutch diplomat an audience in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad.

At the end of the meeting, the ambassador of the Netherlands made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency, in which she indicated that the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Mauritania maintain good relations in the areas of the economy, fisheries, and green energy, underlining her desire to further deepen those relations.
