President of Republic Receives Indian Ambassador’s Credentials

On 21 May, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the credentials of HE Mr. Naresh Kumar, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic ofIndia to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

After the presentation of the credentials and the audience granted to him by the President of the Republic, the Indian diplomat made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency in which he said he was honored to present his credentials

to His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, adding that this is a historic moment as the first resident ambassador of India to Mauritania.

He expressed his aspiration to expand bilateral relations between the two countries to other areas.
