The Minister of Agriculture, Memma Ould Beibatta received Thursday in Nouakchott at the premises of the ministry, the minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Livestock Mabouba Diagne, who is currently visiting our country at the head of a delegation from his sector.
The ministers discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation between the agricultural sectors of the two countries, embodying the political will of the leaders of the two countries, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh EL Ghazouani, and His Excellency Mr. Bassirou Diomaye Faye, aimed at enhancing areas of cooperation and coordination, especially in the agricultural field.
During the meeting, the two ministers stressed the need to harness all efforts to exploit joint capabilities, and activate the partnership between relevant companies, to raise the performance and effectiveness of the agricultural sectors in the two countries.
The meeting concluded with a number of important decisions, including the formation of a joint committee to study the mechanism of implementing and translating this cooperation, and moving it forward towards the aspirations of the two peoples and the leaders of the two countries.
