Government Spokesman Confirms Existence of Joint Mechanism To Manage Between Mauritanian-Malian Borders
On 13 May, in Nouakchott, Mr. Nani Ould Chrougha, the Minister of Oil, Energy, and Minerals, Government Spokesman, said that the Mauritanian Malian borders are witnessing security disturbances due to the geographical and demographic entanglement between our country and sisterly Mali and that it was necessary to find mechanisms to manage the borders during the current circumstance.
While commenting on the results of the Council of Ministers meeting, he added that our armed and security forces are stationed on the border to protect our citizens. This work has been done through coordination with the Republic of Mali at all levels, as he put it.
