President of Republic Congratulates Press Family on World Press Freedom Day

On 2 May, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, congratulated all members of the press family on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day, which coincides with 3 May each year.

His Excellency wrote on his account on X:

“On the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, I extend my sincere congratulations to all members of the press family, assuring them to continue working toward creating a more suitable environment for journalists to enable them to exercise their functions in harmony with the laws and ethics of this noble profession.”
