President of the Republic Chairperson of the African Union Meets the President of the World Bank Group

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Chairman of the African Union, Mohamed Ould Cheikh EL Ghazouani, met Monday evening in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on the sidelines of the Summit of African Heads of State and the International Development Association (IDA), with the President of the World Bank Group, Mr. Ajay Banga.
The meeting dealt with the relations between the World Bank Group and our country, and between the Group and the African Union, and ways to develop these relations and push them towards achieving the desired goals.
His Excellency the President of the Republic, Chairman of the African Union, attended today the summit of African heads of state and the International Development Association (IDA), and delivered an important speech in which he focused on the continent’s need to enhance the financing resources of the institution, which is the economic pillar of the World Bank, in order to maximize its contribution to helping African countries transform their enormous potential into sustainable economic and social development that achieves growth and creates jobs
