Finance Minister Meets With Senior UN Officials

On 18 April, in Nouakchott, the Minister of Finance, Mr. Isselmou Ould Mohamed M’badi, met with Mr. Claver Gatete, the UN Under–Secretary–General and Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA).

During this meeting, the Minister presented the main axes on which Mauritania will focus during its presidency of the African Union to obtain positive results for the African continent, stressing that these axes include the development of human capital, and promoting economic growth with emphasis on the green economy.

Mr. M’badi reviewed the social policy adopted by Mauritania in recent years, which was appreciated by many partners.
