President of Republic Holds Talks With Senegalese Counterpart

On 18 April, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairman of the African Union, held talks with His Excellency Mr. Bassirou Dioumaye Faye, the President of the Republic of Senegal, about cooperative relations between the two brotherly countries and means likely to develop and strengthen these relations in different areas.

The talks then extended, in addition to the Senegalese delegation, to Mr. Mokhtar Diaye, the Minister in Charge of the Office of the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Cheikh Abdoullah Ben Boya, the Minister of Justice, Mr. Mokhtar Housseini Lam, the Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy, Mr. Mohamed Aly Sidi Mohamed, the Minister of Equipment and Transport, HE Mr. Ahmedou Ould Ahmedou, our ambassador in Dakar, Mr. Ahmed Ould Abbe a.k.a. H’meida, an advisor at the Presidency of the Republic, Messrs. Ahmed Ould Bahini and Haroune Traoré, Officers in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency,  and Mr. Chemsseddine Sow Deyna, the Director General of Hydrocarbons.

His Excellency the Senegalese President, Mr. Bassirou Dioumaye Faye, is currently making a friendly and working visit to our country, the first after he acceded to the supreme magistrature.
