On 18 April, the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Emmeme Hamahoullah Beibat, left Nouakchott for the Kingdom of Morocco to participate in the 33rd session of the FAO Regional Conference for Africa (ARC33), held in Rabat from 18 to 20 April.

This three-day conference, organized under the patronage of the Kingdom of Morocco, is an important opportunity for African countries to discuss practical and concrete solutions in terms of food security and the improvement of agricultural production, as well as the definition of priorities with FAO for the next two years, to achieve sustainable change in food and agricultural systems across the continent.

Organized under the theme “Resilient Food and Agricultural Systems and Inclusive Rural Transformation”, the conference will enable participants and other stakeholders to share best practices, explore partnerships, discuss opportunities, and provide regional guidance on the transformation of Africa’s food and agricultural systems.

The Minister will also participate in the opening of the Meknes International Agricultural Exhibition, to be held from 22 to 28 April.
