President of Republic Receives Credentials of Mexican Ambassador

The President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, received Thursday morning the credentials of His Excellency Mr. Gabriel Rosenzweig Pichardo, as the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary r of Mexico to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

After the presentation of credentials, the President of the Republic held a meeting with the Mexican diplomat in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, Mr. Ismael Ould Cheikh Ahmed.

After the meeting, the Mexican ambassador made the following statement to the Mauritanian News Agency:

“I presented my credentials as the Ambassador of the United States of Mexico.

“I held very friendly discussions with His Excellency the President of the Republic. During which, we reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries to achieve their common interests and strengthen their ties.
The credentials presentation ceremony was attended by the following personalities:

-Ismael Ould Cheikh Ahmed, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad
– Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed Lamine, Director of the President’s Cabinet
– Mohamed Lamine Ould Abey Ould Cheikh El Hadrami, Officer in Charge of Special Duties at the Presidency of the Republic
– El Hanchi Ould El Kettab, Director General of bilateral cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad
– Mr. Mohamed Lemine Chemra, Ambassador, Director of American Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
