President of the Republic Receives a Phone call from his Venezuelan Counterpart

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh EL Ghazouani, received, on Monday, April 8, 2024, a phone call from his Venezuelan counterpart, His Excellency Mr. Nicolás Maduro.

During the phone call, the Venezuelan President congratulated the President of the Republic on assuming the rotating chairmanship of the African Union and expressed his desire for the African Union to participate in the observation of the upcoming Venezuelan elections, which the President of the Republic pledged to work on.

The two sides also discussed ways to develop bilateral relations between the two countries and strengthen African-Venezuelan ties.
