Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives a Member of the European Parliament

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Mauritanians Abroad, Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, received, Tuesday evening, in his office, Mr. Juan Fernando López Aguilar, Member of the European Parliament and Chairman of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs of the European Parliament.
The meeting discussed various aspects of cooperation between our country and the European Union, ways to enhance and develop it, and issues of common interest.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mokhtar Mbaba, Ambassador and Director of the United Nations and International Non-Governmental Organizations, Director of European Affairs at the Directorate General of Multilateral Cooperation and Agency, and a number of ministry staff.
On the European side, it was also attended by the Ambassador of the Head of the Delegation of the European Union in our country and the Spanish Ambassador accredited to Mauritania.
