On 28 March, Mr. Felix Tshisekedi, the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, left Nouakchott at the end of a two-day friendly and working visit to Mauritania.
Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic and Chairmaan of the African Union, greeted his Congolese host at the Nouakchott Oumoutounsi International Airport, accompanied by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Messaoud, the Minister
in Charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Chiefs of Staff of the Armed and Security Forces, the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, the Wali Mouçaid of Nouakchott West, the President of the Region of Nouakchott, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Congolese embassy in our country.
After listening to the Mauritanian and Congolese national anthems and reviewing the detachments that came to pay the honors, the Congolese President bade farewell to the Speaker of the National Assembly, the President of the Constitutional Council, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the
Republic, the Minister Counselor at the Presidency of the Republic, members of the government, State dignitaries, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of international organizations.
For his part, His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani bid farewell to the delegation accompanying the Congolese President.
