The Minister of Economy Holds Talks with the Advisor to the Chief Economist at the World Bank

The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mr. Abdeslam Mohamed Saleh, held talks on Thursday in Washington with Mr. Gilles Alfandary, Advisor to the Chief Economist of the World Bank in charge of the Group of Twenty and the Group of Seven.

During the meeting, the Minister reviewed with the official of the Bank ways to support our country during its assumption of the rotating presidency of the African Union, recalling the broad outlines presented by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh EL Ghazouani, in his speech assuming the presidency of the Union, which included his strategy to lead the African continent during this stage.

The minister also called on the World Bank and through it the Group of Twenty and the Group of Seven to accompany our country during this stage.

The bank official expressed the readiness of his institution to provide the necessary support.
