President of Republic Returns to Nouakchott After Participating in GECF Summit

On 2 March, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, returned to Nouakchott after participating in the 7th summit of heads of state and government of Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), held in Algiers.

The President of the Republic was welcomed upon his arrival at the Nouakchott Oumtounsy International Airport by the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Bilal Messoud, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the two ministers councilors at the Presidency of the Republic, members of the government, the deputy director of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Wali of Nouakchott west, and the Vice President of the Nouakchott Regional Council.

The President of the Republic was accompanied by a large delegation including:

– Mr. Moctar Ould Diay, the Minister in charge of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic; – Ms. Naha Mint Hamdy Ould Mouknass, the Minister of Health;

– Mr. Nany Ould Chrougha, the Minister of Oil, Mines, and Energy, Government spokesperson;

– Mr. Sidi Mohamed Ould Abdallahi, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in Algiers;

– Mr. El Houssein Ould Nagi, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. Mohamed Ould Sweidatt, an Advisor at the Presidency of the Republic;

– Mr. El Hacen Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol.
