Mauritania’s Ambassador to France Presents Credentials

On 2 March, in Paris, HE Mr. Mohamed Yahya Ould Teiss presented his credentials to French President Emmanuel Macron as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Republic of France.

During the ceremony, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh El-Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, praising the excellent relations between the two countries and his willingness to work with French officials to strengthen them at the bilateral and multilateral levels.

For his part, Mr. Emmanuel Macron asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings and friendship feelings to His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic. He also expressed his admiration for Mauritania, which he described as ‘a pivotal partner at the regional and continental level in Africa’.

He expressed his availability to work with His Excellency, the President of the Republic, on all issues of interest to the two countries, on the one hand, and his desire to work with him throughout his rotating presidency of the African Union, on the other.
