With the Participation of Our Country, the Summit Meetings of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum Continue in Algeria

Algeria

The summit of the seventh session of the Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum continues today, Friday, at the International Conference Center “Abdellatif Rahal” in Algeria.

The second day of the summit was marked by a meeting of ministers with the participation of our country’s delegation, headed by His Excellency the Minister of Petroleum, Mines and Energy, Government Spokesman, Mr. Nani Ould Chrougha.

Our country participates in this summit in order to benefit from the support of friendly and brotherly countries in this international forum, through exchanging experiences and enhancing knowledge in the field of the gas industry.

Mauritania’s participation also falls within the framework of a balance between developing energy transition strategies, in order to support and accelerate its path, and exploiting and valuing natural gas sources, while emphasizing respect for countries’ sovereignty and their right to make sovereign decisions in the field of energy.
