President of Republic Receives Finnish Ambassador’s Credentials

On 27 February, in Nouakchott, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, received the credentials of HE Ms. Marjana Sall, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

After the credentials presentation ceremony, the President of the Republic granted the Finnish diplomat an audience in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad.

Shortly after the meeting, HE Ms. Marjana Sall made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency, in which she expressed her joy at presenting her credentials to His Excellency the President of the Republic, in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland to the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.

She added that she reviewed with His Excellency, the President of the Republic, the solid bilateral cooperation relations, particularly in the green energy area, and issues of interest to both countries.
