Mauritania and EU launch Preliminary Negotiations on Migration Cooperation Agenda

Preliminary negotiations between Mauritania and the European Union on their migration cooperation agenda began Monday morning at the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior and Decentralization in Nouakchott.

The one-day meeting aims to establish a balanced strategic partnership in the field of migration that takes into account the sovereignty of both parties, safeguards their vital interests and takes into account the challenges posed by illegal migration to the Mauritanian and European sides.
