Minister of Environment Participates in a Meeting on the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals

The Minister of the Environment, Ms. Lalia Ali Kamra, participated Yesterday, Sunday, in the city of Samarkand, Uzbekistan,in the high-level meeting of the Convention of the Parties on the Treaty on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals, which is taking place from the 11th to the 17th of this month.

 

The meeting focused on strengthening international and border cooperation within the framework of the Treaty on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals.

 

In her intervention, the Minister of Environment highlighted the successes achieved by Mauritania in the field of preserving marine diversity through coordinated activities, such as establishing and strengthening natural reserves and developing a program for awareness, follow-up and oversight in cooperation between Mauritania, the Kingdom of Morocco, Spain and Portugal.

 

The meeting culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the conservation of migratory birds in Africa.
