Minister of Culture: ‘Mauritania Has Made Access to Information a Fundamental Right of the Citizens’
On 18 January, Mr. Ahmed Sidi Ahmed Die, the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Relations with Parliament, said that the government had obliged telecommunications service operators in our country to cover the entire national territory and ensure high levels of access to high-speed telecommunications services, implementing the vision of His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, in this area.
During his participation in the 27th session of Arab Ministers of Communication and Information in Abu Dhabi, the Minister added that Mauritania had made access to information a fundamental right of the citizens, in addition to being a necessity for development in the era of artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
