On Tuesday 9 January at her office in Nouakchot, the Minister of Social Action, Children and the Family, Safia N’tahah, held talks with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in our country, Dr. Nester Pepe Azandegbe.
The two parties discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation in the areas of intervention of the social work, childhood and family sector, especially in issues related to protection mechanisms, economic empowerment and political participation of women and girls.
The talks were attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry, Mr. Ahmadou Adahi Ekhteira, and a number of sector executives.
