Prime Minister Receives Algerian Minister of Posts, Telecommunications

 

On 13 December, in Nouakchott, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Messaoud, received Mr. Karim Bibi Triki, the Algerian Minister of Posts and Telecommunications.

The meeting reviewed prospects for cooperation between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen and develop them, particularly in the field of digitalization.

At the end of the meeting, the Algerian Minister of Posts and Telecommunications made a statement to the Mauritanian news agency in which he indicated that he was honored to meet the Prime Minister, accompanied by the Minister of Digital Transformation, and that the meeting was an opportunity to see the content of the meetings he held with his counterpart as part of his visit.

He stressed that the talks focused on the progress of the action plan and infrastructure projects linked to information and communication technologies in the two brotherly countries. He added that the meeting was an opportunity to talk about initiatives and projects likely to embody the political will of the leaders of the two countries.

Mr.  Triki explained that the meeting made it possible to discuss some of the main axes which were agreed with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Mauritania to develop a joint working group to study the best ways and work to embody them as quickly as possible in the service of the citizens of the two brotherly
