Minister of Environment Participates in COP 28 Seminars Discussing the Fields of Energy and the Environment
Yesterday, Monday, 11 December, the Minister of the Environment, Mrs. Lalia Ali Kamara, participated in the discussions hosted by the Technology and Innovation Wing of the UAE Ministry of Industry, within the framework of the activities of the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties on Climate Change currently underway in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The discussions covered strategic topics such as renewable energy and manufacturing industries in Mauritania, in addition to the needs in the field of technologies to protect the environment.
The Secretary-General of the UAE Ministry of Industry, Mr. Omar Al Suwaidi, reviewed the importance of industrial projects, focusing in this context on aluminum and iron.
This meeting falls on the sidelines of the annual event of the International Alliance for the Green Economy, which brings together 86 countries that have committed to moving towards a sustainable economy.
Then, Her Excellency the Minister of Environment participated in a ministerial roundtable organized by the International Green Economy Alliance, in order to highlight the interest of nations wishing to contribute to the transition towards a more sustainable economy.
The International Green Economy Alliance is committed to maintaining close cooperation among its members in order to strengthen their capabilities and develop expertise, thereby contributing to accelerating the global transition towards a more sustainable economy.
The activities carried out by His Excellency the Minister of Environment yesterday reflect Mauritania’s integration into building a future in which the economy and environment are integrated.
