President of Republic Visits the Pavilions of the Exhibition Organized Within the Activities of the Cities Heritage Festival

On Friday 8 December, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, visited the exhibition organized within the activities of the twelfth edition of the Cities of Heritage Festival, in the city of Walata which is hosting the festival this year.

His Excellency the President of the Republic toured the various pavilions of this exhibition, which includes many Mauritanian books, publications and manuscripts, most of which deal with the material and intangible cultural heritage of the country through its historical process.

The exhibition also includes pavilions for the local traditional industry with its various components.

During this visit, His Excellency the President of the Republic received explanations about the various exhibits from those in charge of them, which also included the historical and cultural characteristics of the city of Walata.

The President of the Republic was accompanied on his visit to this exhibition by the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports and Relations with Parliament, the Wali of Hodh al-Charghi, the delegation accompanying the President of the Republic, and the administrative and security authorities in the Wilaya.
