President of Republic Participates in the Work of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

This session, in which heads of state, ministers and delegations from more than 180 countries from around the world participate, is organized under the slogan: “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future,” and it is expected to witness the presentation of a global score to evaluate the progress made in implementing the goals of the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement, which the participants hope The conference aims to contribute to unifying visions and responding to scientific reports, which indicate the need to reduce emissions by 43% by 2030, to maintain the possibility of achieving the goal of avoiding the rise in global temperature exceeding 1.5 degrees Celsius, in addition to developing a financing plan to combat climate change. implemented more effectively.

The conference also discusses various issues, including the rapid growth of low-cost renewable energy, the risks resulting from geopolitical unrest, the worsening climate disasters, and the continuing food crisis.

The opening ceremony of the conference was marked by taking a commemorative group photo of the heads of states and government participating in the summit before the start of its work at noon.
