President of the Republic arrives in the United Arab Emirates

His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, arrived on Thursday morning in the United Arab Emirates to participate in the twenty-eighth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), which kicks off today in Dubai, in the presence of heads of state and government from 198 signatories to the Convention.

His Excellency was received at the flight by His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Cabinet Member and Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Mr. Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the United Arab Emirates.

His Excellency the President of the Republic shook hands with our Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Ahmed Salem Ould Mohamed Rara, and members of the staff of our diplomatic mission in Abu Dhabi.

His Excellency the President of the Republic is accompanied by an important delegation.
