The President of the Republic Oversees the Launch of the National Day of TAAZOUR
The President of the Republic, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, oversaw on Thursday morning at the Palais des Congrès in Nouakchott the launch of the National Day of the General Delegation for National Solidarity and Combating Exclusion “TAAZOUR”.
Upon his arrival at the Conference Palace, His Excellency the President of the Republic was received by His Excellency the General Delegate for National Solidarity and Combating Exclusion, Mr. Hammoud Ould M’hamed, surrounded by his assistants, where His Excellency communicated – via video technology – with a number of beneficiaries of synergy services in various wilayas of the country, during which he asked them about their satisfaction with the interventions and programs implemented by the synergy in their favor and the extent to which they touch their reality.
His Excellency, who was accompanied by the Minister in charge of the Office of the President of the Republic, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Diay, followed a detailed presentation by His Excellency the Delegate General on the various programs and interventions implemented by the Delegation for the benefit of vulnerable groups, before successive coordinators and directors of the aforementioned programs provided explanations for each of them separately.
During his follow-up to these various presentations, His Excellency asked about the smallest details related to all programs and interventions and the extent to which they respond to the aspirations of the target groups and touch their reality at all levels.
During the ceremony, His Excellency handed over to the General Delegate of Synergy a cheque for the amount of 1,875,000,000 new Ouguiya to finance income-generating activities for members of needy families.
The National Day of Synergy witnessed the launch of the Nouakchott Productive Activities Financing Programme, which consists of 800 income-generating activities benefiting 4,000 members of needy families in the capital Nouakchott.
During this day, which was attended by a group of researchers, activists and intellectuals, the “TAAZOUR Community” program was launched, which coordinates communication between the General Delegation of “TAAZOUR” and its beneficiaries throughout the national territory.
During this day, a seminar will be organized on “Fighting poverty” and discussing the Mauritanian approach to the fight against poverty and the mechanisms used by the General Delegation for National Solidarity and the Fight against Exclusion to reduce poverty, injustice and fragility in the country, which will come up with recommendations that will benefit from synergies in its future projects.
