Minister of Health Meets Spanish Minister of Defense

The Minister of Health, Mrs. Naha Hamdi Meknas, met on Sunday in the Spanish capital, Madrid, with the Spanish Minister of Defense, Mrs. Margarita Robles.

The meeting dealt with areas of cooperation between our country and the Kingdom of Spain at the level of health and its future prospects.

During the meeting, the Minister of Health appreciated the level of exchange and coordination between the two countries, which was recently embodied in the Spanish army’s placement of a medical plane in record time at the disposal of the Ministry to transport Siamese twins whose situation required surgery, praising the level of cooperation of the Spanish Air Force, especially Group 45 and the evacuation unit that transported the Siamese twins.

For her part, the Spanish minister expressed her satisfaction with the strong relations between the two countries, which are based on a great level of cooperation and special relations.

Last week, the Siamese twins underwent successful surgery at Barcelona’s San Juan de Diu Hospital and are in good health.
