Mauritania, Germany Sign Bilateral Cooperation Program

On 10 November, in Berlin, Mr. Abdessalam Ould Mohamed Saleh, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, signed with Mr. Jochen Flasbarth, the German State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, a bilateral cooperation program between Mauritania and Germany covering the period 2023-2025 for an amount of 62 million euros.

The funding is awarded in the form of grants amounting to 62 million euros and includes the financing of various projects in the areas of governance, human rights, decentralization and local development, new technologies and digitalization, fisheries and the environment, employment and professional training, clean energy, and mining.
