Mauritania, KfW Sign Two-Million Euro Grant Agreement

On 8 November, in Frankfurt, Mr. Abdessalam Mohamed Saleh, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, signed an endowment agreement of 2 million euros with Ms. Daniela Beckmann, the Director of North Africa at the German Bank (KfW).

The financing agreement aims to contribute to the financing of the accompanying procedures of the Banc d’Arguin Trust Fund.

This agreement will bring the KfW’s donations to the Banc d’Arguin Trust Fund to 17.8 million euros.

It is noteworthy that the initial biodiversity protection project financed by the KfW in the form of grants with a financing amounting to 25.5 million euros includes investments in infrastructure.
