President of Republic Holds Meeting With EU Energy Commissioner

On 25 October, in Brussels, His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, held a meeting with Ms. Kadri Simson, the EU Commissioner for Energy.

The discussions focused on ways to promote cooperation in the field of energy between our country and the European Union.

This meeting comes after His Excellency, the President of the Republic, signed yesterday with the President of the EU Commission a document to develop appropriate infrastructure for producting and developing green hydrogen in Mauritania. The agreement aims to enable producting, transporting, and marketing green hydrogen.

These meetings take place on the sidelines of the Global Gateway Forum, organized by the European Union on 2 and 25 in the Belgian capital.
