On 21 October, in Nouakchott, the Minister of Finance, Mr. Isselmou Ould Mohamed M’Badi, signed with Dr. Mohamed bin Sulaiman Al-Jasser, the Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IsDB), an agreement under which the Bank provides an interest-free loan with a value of 14 million and 800 thousand Islamic dinars, which is more than 740 million and 800 thousand ouguiyas, allocated to support higher education in Mauritania.
The loan will be directed to finance a project to build and equip two new institutions of higher education: the Higher School of Agriculture, which will be based in the city of Kaedi, and the Higher School of Veterinary Medicine in the city of Nema.
