On 17 October, in Algiers, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, took part in the work of the 20th session of the meeting of African Foreign Ministers with their Northern Europe counterparts.
The meeting was an opportunity for several African and Northern European foreign Ministers to discuss regional and continental issues, including education in Africa, the promotion of peace, the agenda of security in Africa, and the strengthening of multilateral action mechanisms.
