On 27 September, Mr. Ahmed Sid’Ahmed Die, the Minister of Culture, Youth, Sports, and Relations with Parliament, returned to Nouakchott from Qatar, where he had participated in the work of the 12th Conference of Ministers of Culture of the Islamic World, on 25 and 26 September, in Doha.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Minister held discussions with the Qatari Ministers of Culture and Sports and Youth of Qatar, Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Hamad al-Thani and Salah bin Ghanim al-Ali, which touched on aspects of the cooperation between Mauritania and the State of Qatar in the fields of culture, youth, and sport.

Mr. Ould Die also met with Dr. Salim bin Mohammed Al Malik, the Director General of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and discussed with him the cooperative relations between Mauritania and ICESCO and ways to strengthen and develop them.
