Minister of Agriculture Receives IFAD Regional Director

On 12 September, in Nouakchott, the Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Moma Ould Beibata, received Mr. Bernard Hien, the Regional Director of the International Fund for Agricultural Development ((IFAD), currently visiting Mauritania.

The meeting focused on the state of development projects implemented in partnership between our country and the IFAD and the prospects for joint work between the two parties. Mr. Beibata called for expanding existing cooperation between the two parties to include aspects related to agricultural diversification for the most vulnerable groups. For his part, Mr. Hien expressed the availability of his organization to continue its support to Mauritania to achieve the overall development objectives.
