Food Security Commissioner Leaves for Egypt

On 1 September, Ms. Fatimetou Mint Khattri, the Commissioner for Food Security (CSA), left Nouakchott for Cairo.

In the Egyptian capital, the Commissioner will meet with the Egyptian Minister of Supply and Internal Trade to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the food security area.

The accompanying delegation will also learn about the experience of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt in the field of the operation of food storage silos.

During her visit to Egypt, Ms. Mint Khattri will also meet with the leaders of the regional network of food banks and the Egyptian food bank to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the Commission and these two bodies.
