Minister of Justice Receives UNDP Coordinator

On 15 August, in Nouakchott, the Minister of Justice, Mr. Mohamed Mahmoud Ould Cheikh Abdullah bin Boya, received HE Ms. Lila Pieters Yahya, the resident coordinator of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The meeting discussed various aspects of cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and this UN body.

Ms. Yahya commended the cooperation between UNDP and the Ministry of Justice, praising the progress of the jointly executed programs. She thanked the Minister for facilitating her visit to penal institutions and courts, which allowed her to see the conditions of the detainees and the functioning of these establishments.
