Foreign Minister Meets German Minister for Economic Cooperation

On 14 August, in Nouakchott, Mr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzoug, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, met with Ms. Svenja Schulze, the Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany, the current Chairperson of the General Assembly of the Sahel Alliance, who is currently visiting Mauritania at the head of a large delegation from her country.

The meeting between the two ministers focused on the various areas of fruitful cooperation between the two countries and the means of strengthening and developing it to serve the common interests of the two friendly people.

The talks also touched on regional and international developments, particularly the situation in the Sahel region.
