President of Republic Leaves for Chengdu in China

On 27 July, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani, the President of the Republic, left Nouakchott for the city of Chengdu, in the People’s Republic of China, where he will attend the FISU World University Games, at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Mr. Xi Jinping. 

He was greeted upon his departure from Oumtounsy International Airport by Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Ould Mohamed Lamine, the Minister of Interior and Decentralization, the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, the Ministers Counselors at the Presidency of the Republic, and the Ministers of Justice and National Defense. 

The President of the Republic was also greeted by the Chief of Special Staff of the President of the Republic, the Deputy Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic, the Wali of Western Nouakchott, the President of the Region of Nouakchott, and the Charge affairs of the Chinese Embassy in Nouakchott. 

His Excellency is accompanied during this trip by the following delegation: 

– Moctar Ould Diay, the Minister Director of the Cabinet of the President of the Republic; 

-Abdessalam Ould Mohamed Saleh, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development; – Mohamed Abdallah Boukhari El Vilali, the Ambassador of Mauritania in Beijing; 

-Ba Abdoullaye, the President of Nouadhibou Free Zone Authority; 

-Mohamed Ould Abdel Vettah, the Commissioner of the OMVS; 

-Ethmane Tall, an Adviser to the Presidency of the Republic;

 -Mohamed Lamine Ould Selmane, an Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic; 

-El Hacen Ould Ahmed, the Director General of State Protocol; 

-Sid’Elemine Mohamed Mahmoud, the Managing Director of the Manantali Energy Company.
