Mauritania participated in the tenth session of the Arab China Business Conference and the eighth session of the Arab-China Symposium on Investment, which were organized on 11-12 June in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Mauritania was represented at this session by a delegation led by Mr. Cheikh El Avia Ould Mohamed Khouna, the President of the Mauritanian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture.
Workshops were organized during this session, highlighting the enormous capacities available both in the People’s Republic of China and in Arab countries.
The most efficient ways to strengthen Arab-China cooperation in other vital areas such as energy, trade, industry, mining, food security, artificial intelligence, health care, and tourism, among others, were also discussed.
On the sidelines of this event, Mr. Ould Mohamed Khouna multiplied contacts with many heads and members of the participating delegations. Thus he paid a visit to the Union of Saudi Chambers, during which he was welcomed by the President of the Union, Mr. Hassan bin Mojib Al-Huwairzi, surrounded by the Secretary General and the officer in charge of international relations within the institution.
He also paid a courtesy visit to Professor Dr. Khaled Hanafi, the Secretary General of the Union of Arab Chambers. The visit focused on ways to strengthen cooperation between the two bodies.
