On 12 April, in washington, Mr. Ousmane Mamoudou Kane, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Promotion of Productive Sectors, held several meetings with senior officials from international financial institutions, on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group held in Washington DC from 10 to 16 April.

During these meetings, points of view were exchanged on the various financial and economic developments that have taken place in recent times in the world, especially those related to our country.

These meetings, which took place in the presence of the Minister of Finance, Mr. Isselmou Ould Mohamed M’Bady, and Ms. Cisse Mint Beida, Mauritania’s Ambassador in Washington, included a meeting with Ms. Alyssa Albright, the President of the American Millennium Challenge Corporation, Ms. Sato Santala, the Vice President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and Mr. Ando Noaki, the Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
