On 27 February, in Nouakchott, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohamed Bilal Messoud, received a Qatari delegation from the KATARA Cultural Village Foundation, chaired by Dr. Khaled bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, its Director General.
The meeting focused on the existing cooperation relations between Mauritania and the State of Qatar and the means likely to develop and strengthen them in all areas.
In a statement to the Mauritanian news agency shortly after the meeting with the Prime Minister, Dr. al-Sulaiti indicated that the meeting aims to fulfill the expectations of the two brotherly countries by strengthening bilateral relations between the institutions in charge of culture in Mauritania and the Katara Foundation, saying that the meeting will make it possible to set up a vision and cooperation in various fields such as poetry, the novel, the arts, and heritage. He expressed his sincere thanks to the government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for the welcome and hospitality extended to him and his delegation.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Khaled Ben IBRAHIM Essouleiti presented the Prime Minister with the shield of the “open-air theatre”.
