Closing of OIC Council of Foreign Ministers’ Preparatory Meetings

On 7 February,  in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Ms. El A lia Mint Yahya Ould Menkouss, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad, chaired the closing ceremony of the preparatory meetings of the 49th session of theCouncil of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The next meetings of the OIC Ministers’ Conference will take place on 16 and 17 March in Mauritania, which currently holds the presidency of the organization.

In her closing remarks, Mint Menkouss thanked the participating delegations for the success of the meetings, indicating that the work made it possible to define draft decisions which will be submitted to the next Council of Ministers for approval.

It should be noted that our country was represented by a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad.
